Cross-Country Skiing
The McDonald Pass cross-country skiing area is ten minutes from the Lodgepole Inn, and offers several miles of groomed trails maintained by a local Helena skiing group. The trails offer terrain for skiers of all abilities, and the snow is generally good December through February.
Many other local areas also offer good skiing. The Stemple Pass area is about an hour to the north, and many local roads and trails are open to skiing and snowshoeing. |
